Rest day

I'm sure I'm completely overreacting to having a day with no weight loss at all.  I decided to do a rest day which means that instead of testing a new food, I repeat the menu from a day that was good for me.  I repeated day 3.

I had my breakfast at the office again this morning, and if you look at the picture, you'll notice I added a cup of coffee.  I haven't had coffee at all since this started and the book says it's OK after the first three days.

Thankfully, I made it through the morning without thinking about being hungry.  This schedule adjustment might just work for me.

I had to eat dinner early because Lindsey had a ceremony for Girl Scouts where she bridged from Brownie to Juniors.  I ate right at 5pm and I wasn't hungry yet.  I knew that if I didn't eat, that I would fall victim to the treats at the ceremony.  Somehow I managed to steer clear of that awesome looking cake!

I'm so proud of Lindsey and the 5 others girls in their troop   As Brownies, they have been so active that they had to add extra layers to the back of their sashes in order to hold all of the patches that they earned!  (Lesson learned.  When they are Juniors, they are getting vests instead!)

I'm REALLY happy with my results from my rest day.  I'm so glad I took the time to do it.  It was a tough decision because I really want to move forward with testing.  I'm really motivated to find a bigger list of foods that my body responds well to.

I was honestly a little worried about the wine.  I had started drinking it three days ago, the exact day that the three day stall began.  I almost didn't drink it last night.  But I invited my neighbor over for a chat and just thought that we might enjoy a glass while we talked. It turns out that the wine is probably just fine!

It was good to be able to have the social moment.  I've felt a bit like I'm missing out.  I didn't go out to lunch at all this week.  Next week will be interesting as I usually go out with friends on Monday night for a beer at my favorite brewery.  I haven't decided yet how I'm going to handle that.  I'm considering added in an extra test day.  I figure if I repeat my rest day menu, then I can have a beer as a test.  Just one, my favorite, the hefeweizen.

In all, it was a super successful day for me with my biggest single day weight loss of 1.8 pounds!  It's completely amazing   That brings my total loss up to 7.2 lbs.  FANtastic!  And....here's the part I'm tickled about - As I was talking to another parent last night about The Plan, he expressed an interest in learning more.  I'm so thankful to my coworker who shared it with me and I'm glad that I might have been able to help someone else out by sharing it with him.

Life's good!

P.S. I wish we had an Earth Fare and/or a Green Life store in our area. It would save on trips to multiple stores.

I wish for better stores too. I've never even seen an Earth Fare!
